Listen to the concert

Dear friends,

at the end of October, in cooperation with the Prague State Opera and the German Embassy, we organized a concert for the last living victims of Nazism and their families.

Thanks to the fact that Czech Television recorded the concert, you can listen to works by Pavel Haas, Viktor Ullmann and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy on Saturday, November 27 at 8:15 pm on ČT Art, and also online.

The Nazis rejected the work of these composers. Haas and Ullmann died in Auschwitz. Listening to the concert performed by the Prague State Opera Orchestra under the direction of Karl-Heinz Steffens and with the excellent soloist Viviane Hagner is not only a powerful artistic experience, but also a memory of millions of human destinies destroyed by blind hatred.

In addition, the concert record is completed by portraits of witnesses, which we presented in the book As if it all happened yesterday.

We wish you a pleasant cultural experience!
